What to Expect?

Our Infant Class has a mixture of children ages 6 weeks to 1 year.  We are so happy you chose us to care for, teach, and enjoy your child.  From Birth to age 2 we have trusted The Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddler and Twos to help plan and implement rich, development appropriate activities for infants.

Transitions that Matter

Think about the small but huge  amazing transitions our your infant life

  • Busy kicking  feet that transition to crawler and walkers

Our our young infants these and other accomplishments are great milestones shared with loved ones, caregivers and other students.

7:00 am – 8:00 am Greeting children and parents; breakfast and free play
8:00 am – 9:00 am Mid-morning diapering; bottles; naps for those in need
9:00 am – 10:15 am Circle Time; Diapering
10:15 am – 10:45 am Stroller Walk and/or Outside Play/Gross Motor Activities
10:45 am – 11:15 am Diapering and Music Class
11:15 am – 11:45 am Morning Snack/Lunch/Bottles
11:45 am – 1:00 pm Mid-afternoon diapering; bottles for those in need
1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Nap/Quiet Time
3:00 pm – 3:30 pm Stroller Walk and/or Outside Play/Gross Motor Activities
3:30 pm – 4:30 pm Afternoon Snack/Bottles/Diapering
4:30 pm – 5:00 pm Teacher-led Storytime/Read Aloud/Music
5:00 pm – 6:00 pm Free Choice/Pick-up

Below you will find a list of items that your child will need during the day at school.  We provide a plastic tub with a lid that can be stored under the crib to help with storing extra items.  Every day we will fill out an Infant Daily Sheet through Brightwheel, which will include items that need to be replenished.

Remember, all personal items (especially cups and bottles) must be clearly labeled with your child’s first name and last initial/name.

Daily Needs

  • 1 clean bottle and nipple for each feeding (plan for at least one extra feeding)

  • Formula or breast milk for the day

    • You may want to send enough for the week
    • You also may bring in extra frozen breast milk—there’s a freezer in the infant room

  • Jar food/infant cereal/finger food (if at this stage)

    • You may want to send enough for the week

  • Sippy cup (if using)

Weekly Needs

  • 1 full package of diapers / diaper rash ointment

  • 1-2 packages of wet wipes

  • 2-3 changes of clothes (size and season appropriate)

  • 1-2 pacifiers (if used)

  • Sunscreen for stroller rides and outside play (weather permitting)
